Meet local Democratic congressional candidates

A real Democratic victory this November involves electing Obama for President and giving Democrats a majority in Congress. Obama needs a Congress willing to work with him to pass legislation crucial to reversing the failed policies of the last 8 years.

The Centenary College Democrats have organized an event for the local public to meet Democrats Paul Carmouche and John Milkovich, candidates for the 4th congressional district (which includes Shreveport).

College Democrats President Nadine Kaskas offers the following message:

Have you thought about who you'll be voting for in the September 6th 1st party primary election?

Maybe you've seen some commercials or listened to a few radio ads or checked out a website or two-- but have you met any of the candidates yet?

On Tuesday, September 2nd at 11 am, College Democrats will present an informal meet and greet with Democratic Congressional candidates Paul Carmouche and John Milkovich in the Student Union Building. Mr. Carmouche will give a brief talk at 11:00 am and Mr. Milkovich will give a brief talk at 11:45 am.

Pizza and drinks will be provided so make sure to drop by the SUB at 11 am-12:15 pm on Tuesday!

All members of the public are invited to attend.
